Hi Brian!

The word for this week is "hazard". It is not found in that form in the Word of God. The online Free Dictionary says: A condition with the potential to cause injury, illness, or death of personnel; damage to or loss of equipment or property; or mission degradation. See also injury, risk.

This is the Scripture that the Holy Spirit gave me for you. It is found in 1 Peter 5:8:

8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

The enemy goes around "as" a lion. He is posing as or pretending to be a lion. He would like to replace the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Who is Jesus of Nazareth! We have understood from the Word of God that satan has no authority in the life of a born again believer. We can picture him as a toothless lion! This verse also says as a "roaring" lion! Sometimes his voice can SEEM to be so loud and clear, but that is his deception! Notice that he is seeking WHOM he may devour. When we take authority over him and his works in the Name of Jesus, based on the Word of God, then he CANNOT devour us! James 4:7 says this:

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Here is a little clip from "Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure" (The girls like Tinker Bell movies!) that illustrates the "pretended" roaring very well! The quality isn't great, but it was the only one I could find:

As a mighty man of God, and the head of your household, you can keep the devil constantly on the run! You and Kristine in agreement make an even mightier force to be reckoned with! It is such a blessing to us to know of your growth in the Word of God and your loving care for your family!  Here is Hillsong with "Alive In Us":

Love and Shalom from the Swoveys!
