Hi Brian!

The word for this week is "plans". We find it in this Old Testament verse from Jeremiah 29:11 in the Amplified Bible.

11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. AMP

Thoughts and plans are together and come from the same Hebrew word "machashabah". Strong's Concordance says: a contrivance, intention, plan. Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Lexicon adds: a device, purpose, invention. The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament says: The basic idea of the word is the employment of the mind in thinking activity, to the creating of new ideas. 2 Chonicles 16:9 tells us this:

9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him.

He is ALWAYS searching and seeking for ways to cause His very best to come into our lives when we stay in faith and walk in love! Such confidence that gives! He is ALWAYS FOR us and for our GOOD! Here is a fun new song from Brooke Ligertwood (with Brandon Lake) called "Honey In The Rock":

Love and Shalom from the Swoveys!
