 Hi Brian!

I'm so sorry that I missed last week! We left on Sunday morning for South Dakota and I wasn't able to get on wifi at the hotel for very long to post anything through my phone! I will make it up sometime! The word for this week is "opportunity". We find it in these three portions of Scripture:

Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. KJV

Hebrews 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. KJV

Philippians 4:10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. KJV

In Galatians and Hebrews we have the Greek word "kairos". Strong's Concordance says: an occasion, set ot proper time. Thayer's Greek Lexicon says: due measure, a measure of time. A fixed and definite time. Opportune or seasonal time. The right time. A limited period of time. In Philippians we have the Greek word "akaireomai. Strong's Concordance says: unseasonable, to be inopportune (for one-self), to fail of a proper occasion. Thayer's Greek Lexicon says: to lack opportunity. Vine's Expository Dictionary say: to have no opportunity.

I love the message in Galatians to be always ready to do good, especially to other believers, but the condition is that we have opportunity to do so. If not, we need to be at peace with that and wait watchfully for another time that WOULD be a proper and beneficial time! Philippians is speaking of that very thing! Being READY to do good, so our hearts would be right, but not yet having the opportunity to carry it out. Staying in fellowship with Holy Spirit is the key to NOT getting into condemnation of ourselves, but patiently waiting and watching for the right time!  Hi Brian!

The word for this week is "enticing". It's found in two places in the Bible.

1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. KJV

Colossians 2:1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. KJV

In the first example we have the Greek word "peithos". Strong's Concordance says persuasive. The Theological Dictionary says: persuasive words of wisdom, the persuasive art of wisdom. In the second example we have the Greek word "pithanologia". Strong's  Concordance says: persuasive language. Thayer's Greek Lexicon says: speech adapted to persuade, discourse in which probable arguments are adduced (evidence or proof). What Paul was emphasizing in both of these examples is, as Jesus said in John 17:17, the Word of God is TRUTH. When we speak the Word of God, there is no need to try and convince someone or talk them into believing. The Word of God spoken has the power in itself to prove itself! Sometimes we put pressure on ourselves to try and convince people that the Word of God is true when simply speaking the Word is enough! Here is Mark 16:20 in the KJV and the Amplified Bible:

20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. KJV

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it). AMPC

When we keep it simple, and simply speak the Word of God, He will see to it that it produces what He intends it to! Speaking, confessing and proclaiming the Word over your beautiful daughters has produced wonderful things in their lives to far, and God has only begun to reveal all that He has for them to accomplish! It is so exciting to see them grow into all that He has for them! And you! Here is Hillsong UNITED with "Say The Word"

 Hi Brian!

The word for this week is "saints". There is one Greek word translated "saints" in all of the New Testament and it is found in many verses, including these:

Romans 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. KJV

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. KJV

Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, KJV

Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: KJV

These are all the Greek word "hagios". Strong's Concordance says sacred (pure, morally blameless, consecrated). Thayer's Greek Lexicon says: set apart for God, to be, as it were, exclusively His. Also: pure, sinless, upright, holy. Vine's Expository Dictionary adds this: As used of believers, it designates all such and is not applied merely to persons of exceptional holiness, or to those who, having died, were characterized by exceptional acts of "saintliness." See especially 2 Thessalonians 1:10, where "His saints" are also described as "them that believed," i. e., the whole number of the redeemed. This last part  is especially meaningful to those of us who were raised in the Catholic religion, where men declared certain people to be 'saints' by things that they did in this life. GOD sees every one of us who have received JESUS as Saviour, and been born again, becoming new creations with sprits made in His image (perfect), as His saints! We are made holy by Him, NOT because we never do anything wrong, but because we are separated unto HIM as HIS very own! That TRUTH should lead us all to desire to be more like Him! Progressively! The more time that we spend in His presence, the more we become LIKE Him in our thoughts and words and actions. THAT is what others see in us that causes them to want to know more about HIM! This truly is a MOST BLESSED life HE has given us! Here is Hillsong Worship with "No One But You":
