Hi Brian! The word for this week is "manifestation". We'll be looking at Romans 8:19: 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. KJV
This is the Greek word "apokalupsis". Thayer's Greek Lexicon says: an uncovering, laying bare, a disclosure of truth. The Amplified Bible says this in verses 18-19:
18 [But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us! 19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. We have heard ministers declare that 2015 was the year of manifestations, demonstrations and visitations from the Lord, and that this is supposed to carry over into 2016. WE are the only Jesus that SOME people will ever see! I like how the Amplified Bible (above) says that the Glory of the Lord is "about to be revealed to us and in us and for us, and conferred upon us." We, as born again believers, ARE living epistles! Our lives are being "read" every day as we interact with people (2 Corinthians 3:2-3). Our lives are the light that will draw them to Jesus! We are praying specifically for these manifestations and demonstrations that will reveal the Truth of God's promises to be happening in your life and in your family so that all of those whom you care about and love, AND some whom you have yet to meet, will be swept away by His love, right into the kingdom of God!
