Hi Brian! This week we'll be looking at another of the "Jehovah" names for God. This one is "Jehovah-Tsidkenu" in the Hebrew. This is found in two verses in Jeremiah. Jeremiah 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE Lord OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. KJV Jeremiah 33:16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness. KJV Righteousness is the English translation. This comes from the Hebrew word "tsdeq". Strong's Concordance says: the right (natural, moral or legal); equity; prosperity. Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Lexicon adds this: justice, rightness, what is just. Vine's Expository Dictionary also adds this: a legal term signifying justice in conformity to the legal corpus, the judicial process, of the king as judge, and to the Source of justice, God Himself. So His Covenant Name of Jehovah-Tsidkenu tells us that He has become to us the source of righteousness. When we see this in 2 Corinthians 5:21: 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. KJV By virtue of the New Birth, we have already been MADE righteous, with His righteousness! We don't have to strive to BE righteous, we already are! Now we need to learn how to allow that righteousness to be evidenced from the inside out! Here is2 Corinthians 5:21 in the Amplified Bible. 21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness]. AMP Because we are members of His family, heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus with the legal right to be in His presence because of our right-standing with Him (righteousness) then we can have boldness to spend time in His presence and expect His favor! WE ARE BLESSED! Here is Hillsong with an older song called "Inside Out":

Hi Brian! This week we'll look at another of the Covenant Names for God: Jehovah-Nissi. This is found in only one portion of Scripture, Exodus 17:8-15: 8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. 9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. 10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. 14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi: KJV This is Jehovah again, which means the Eternal, self-existing One. "Nissi" is the Hebrew word "Nicciy". Strong's Concordance says: Jehovah is my banner. I really like this explanation from Jamieson, Fausset and Brown Bible Commentary: Verse 15. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it JEHOVAH-nissi - i.e., the Lord (Yahweh) my banner. [The Septuagint has: kurios katafigee mou, my refuge, neec denotes a sign, standard, a signal erected on an eminence.] Since no mention is made of sacrifices, it has been supposed that this altar was intended as a pious trophy, a grateful memorial after the battle was won, not in honour of Moses, who had raised his hands, nor to Aaron and Hur, who had upheld them, nor to Joshua, the commander, nor to the soldiers who had fought the battle, but to the Lord, whose right hand and holy arm had gotten them the victory. THAT is Who He WILL BE for us in every battle we find ourselves in with the enemy when we stand on the promises of His Word. He IS our banner, our Victory Flag! Whether we stand on the Word for ourselves or in the prayer of agreement with other like-minded believers, HE is still the One Who provides that big WIN! Hi Brian! The word for this week is "Jehovah". This appears four times in the Bible in this form. Exodus 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them. KJV Psalm 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. KJV Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. KJV Isaiah 26:4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: KJV "Jehovah" is the Hebrew word "Yehovah". Strong's Concordance says this: self-Existent; Eternal, Jehovah, Jewish national name of God. Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew Lexicon adds: Yahweh - the existing One. (This Hebrew Name for God appears many more times in the form YHWH, called the Tetragrammaton, having no vowels). I see this as the Covenant Name for God. The Names that we find attached to Jehovah reveal Who He is to us in different situations. Today we'll look at Jehovah-Jireh. Genesis 22:13-14: 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen. KJV In the Hebrew this is "Yehovah Yireh". Strong's Concordance says: Jehovah will see to it. He provided for Himself a substitute for Abraham to sacrifice in place of his son, Isaac. We say "Jehovah Jireh, our Provider"! He IS the Provider of every need we could ever have! When we take account of all the ways he has blessed and provided for us so far, we have great confidence that He will continue to do so, no matter what the situation or circumstance. We can count on Him! Here is Hillsong with an older song called "Desert Song" that mentions our "God Who provides"!

Hi Brian! The word for this week is "manifestation". We'll be looking at Romans 8:19: 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. KJV
This is the Greek word "apokalupsis". Thayer's Greek Lexicon says: an uncovering, laying bare, a disclosure of truth. The Amplified Bible says this in verses 18-19:
18 [But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us! 19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God's sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship]. AMP
We have heard ministers declare that 2015 was the year of manifestations, demonstrations and visitations from the Lord, and that this is supposed to carry over into 2016. WE are the only Jesus that SOME people will ever see! I like how the Amplified Bible (above) says that the Glory of the Lord is "about to be revealed to us and in us and for us, and conferred upon us." We, as born again believers, ARE living epistles! Our lives are being "read" every day as we interact with people (2 Corinthians 3:2-3). Our lives are the light that will draw them to Jesus! We are praying specifically for these manifestations and demonstrations that will reveal the Truth of God's promises to be happening in your life and in your family so that all of those whom you care about and love, AND some whom you have yet to meet, will be swept away by His love, right into the kingdom of God! I can't wait to hear all about it when these things begin to happen more frequently! Here is Hillsong United with a song that we have used before, but I feel it is really appropriate for today! It's called "Rule":
