The word for this week is "desire"! 1 Peter 2:2 says this:
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby:
This is the Greek word "epipotheo", which means: to dote upon; intensely crave possession of; according to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Thayer's Greek Lexicon says: to long for, desire. Vine's Expository Dictionary says: to long for greatly. We are to long for and even crave the simple teaching of the Word of God. When we do that, then we grow up toward spiritual maturity. The more we understand and act on the Word of God, the more that desire for it grows! You could say that we become addicted to it! We find that we can't live well without it! THAT is a great position to be in and a great attitude to have because He is ALWAYS watching over His Word to perform if in our lives (Jeremiah 1:12 AMP)!
