We hope you're enjoying the party! We're posting this today because it is your actual birthday! Starting next week we'll post your Weekly Weber Word on Sunday so you can start each week off fresh!
The "word" for today is "Father". In the Old Testament it was the Hebrew word "`ab", which means: the father of an individual, the head or founder of a household, family, group; the protector. In the New Testament it is the Greek word "pater" which means: nourisher, protector, upholder. You are the one responsible for protecting and providing for your family. Of course, you and Kristine work together on what you choose to do in your household, but you have the responsibility!
Jesus prayed for us when He addressed the Father in John 17:20-23:
20 Neither for these alone do I pray [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word. 21 That they all may be one, [just] as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me. 22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one: 23 I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.
Then Matthew 7:11 says this:
11 If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as he is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!
You are already a wonderful father to Avery Elise! As you gain a greater understanding of how very much YOU are loved by God the Father, you will become an even better father to her!
Have a wonderful birthday!
Here's a song by Hillsong called "The Father's Heart":
