Hi Brian!
The word for this week is "illuminated". It's found only one time in the Word of God. Hebrews 10:30-35:
30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. 32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; 33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. 34 For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. 35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. KJVThis is the Greek word "photizo". Strong's Concordance says" to shed rays; to shine; to brighten up. Thayer's Greek Lexicon says: to give light, to enlighten, to light up, to bring to light, to render evident, to be imbued with saving knowledge. The more time that we spend taking in the Word of God, meditating on it until we receive revelation of it, and then actually DOING what it says to do, the more illumination or enlightenment we receive from Holy Spirit Who is our personal Teacher! Notice that when the illumination, or understanding of the Word came, 'great fights of afflication' followed! The enemy does NOT like when we become more proficient in the Word because it means that he cannot devour us (1 Peter 5:8). Paul said that satan sent a messenger to attack him when he had gained special revelations from the Lord (2 Corinthians 12). He will always fight us to try to keep us out of the Word, but God ALWAYS gives us the victory over him when we boldly stick with it and refuse to give up! My prayer for you and your family is that the illumination of His Word will continue to grow so strong that DOING the Word will be second nature to you, keeping the enemy continually on the run FROM you!
