Another great win! The word for this week is "always". We see it used in these verses:
2 Cor 2:14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. KJV
2 Cor 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: KJV
2 Cor 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: KJV
Philem 4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, KJV
This is the Greek word "pantote". Strong's Concordance says: every when; at all times. Thayer's Greek Lexicon adds: ever, in any and every way, by all means, doubtless, surely, certainly. There are other words translated "always" in the Bible, but I really like these 4 verses and what they are saying to encourage us in our walking through this life! We can courageously fight the fight of faith with confidence when we KNOW that HE will ALWAYS cause us to WIN! Also, though each situation may be different and look different, we still ALWAYS have everything we will need, IN HIM, to come out on top again! And, the last verse above reminds us that we must ALWAYS be before His face in prayer and fellowship. My favorite definition of always has to be the very first one: every when. Just that unique way of saying it causes us to keep in mind that there will never be a 'when' that HE doesn't have the answer for that will cause US to be "more than conquerors" (Romans 8:36)! Appropriately, here is Hillsong with "Always Will"!
Love and Shalom from the Swoveys!
