Hi Brian!

What a great game! The word for this week is "satisfy". We'll be looking at these two verses: Psalm 90:14 and Psalm 91:16:

Psalm 90:14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. KJV

Psalm 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. KJV

This is the Hebrew word "saba`". Strong's Concordance says: to sate; to fill to satisfaction. Brown-Driver- Briggs Hebrew Lexicon says:to be fulfilled, to have one's fill of, to have in excess, to enrich. Psalm 90 is speaking of the promises made by God to His people. Psalm 91 is speaking of the promises made to individuals who will get themselves in position to receive! Psalm 90 says this in the Amplified Bible:

Psalm 90:14 O satisfy us with Your mercy and loving-kindness in the morning that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. AMP

Psalm 91:14-16 from the Amplified Bible:

Ps 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. AMP

The prerequisite being satisfied with long life in Psalm 91 is to "dwell in the secret place of the Most High". That means to spend time in His presence, which is inside of us! We really are so incredibly blessed under our new and better Covenant! THEY had to travel to get themselves to the Temple in order to be in the presence of God. WE carry the presence of God with us wherever we go! When we stay aware of His presence within us, then it will be easier to stay continually in the safe place of His protection, provision and safety!
