What a great game! The word for this week is "satisfy". We'll be looking at these two verses: Psalm 90:14 and Psalm 91:16:
Psalm 90:14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. KJV
Psalm 91:16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. KJV
This is the Hebrew word "saba`". Strong's Concordance says: to sate; to fill to satisfaction. Brown-Driver- Briggs Hebrew Lexicon says:to be fulfilled, to have one's fill of, to have in excess, to enrich. Psalm 90 is speaking of the promises made by God to His people. Psalm 91 is speaking of the promises made to individuals who will get themselves in position to receive! Psalm 90 says this in the Amplified Bible:
Psalm 90:14 O satisfy us with Your mercy and loving-kindness in the morning that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. AMP
Psalm 91:14-16 from the Amplified Bible:
Ps 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
