The word for this week is "ever". I was actually looking up "forever", but that isn't in the Bible. It is always listed as "for" and "ever". "For" is a Greek primary preposition "eis", which means: into; unto; to; towards; for; among; according to Strong's Concordance. The Scriptures we'll be looking at are:
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again , not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.
1 Peter 1:24 But the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
"Ever" is the Greek word "aion". Strong's Concordance says: an unbroken age; perpetuity of time; eternity. So, everywhere WE go, the Spirit of God, our Comforter, goes with us! And He will, for ever! Even the times we may feel most alone, we, as born again believers, are NEVER alone! THAT gives me peace and comfort! Then, when we combine that Truth with the Truth that tells us that the Word of God will also go on for ever, we can have extraordinary confidence that what we have spoken, we WILL see! We know that He spoke the universe into existence, and that work of art is ever expanding! The WORD continually doing the work it was spoken out to do! In that same way, when WE speak the Word into the situations in our own lives, THAT Word continues to produce good and Godly things also! Unless WE dig it up by speaking contrary to the Word that we have previously spoken. THAT, along with Proverbs 18:20, should give us great incentive to watch what we say!
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
John 15:7 is another promise that we should grab and never let go!
7 If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.
HE will watch over it to make certain that it is accomplished and WE can count on it! Every good Word that you speak over your family may not appear to be doing much at the time, but you WILL look back one day and see the amazing results! For her entire life, your father-in-law spoke over Kristine that she was the prettiest girl in the North, South, East and West. Then he added all of the other distant ranges! She went from being a cute little girl to a most beautiful woman (inside and out)! That is NOT a coincidence! I know that you are both speaking great things over your girls because they just SHINE! Keep up the great good work! You are an amazing dad and we love you! Here is a song that that is new to me. Kari Jobe with a powerful resurrection worship song called "Forever":
