Hi Brian!

The word for this week is"everlasting". It's found in many places in the Word of God, but we'll just be looking at one place. Jeremiah 31:3 says this:

3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee. KJV

The Amplified Bible says this:

3 The Lord appeared from of old to me [Israel], saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you. AMP

This is the Hebrew word "`owlam". Strong's Concordance says: time out of mind, eternity. Brown-Driver-Briggs Greek Lexicon says : long duration, antiquity, continuous existence, forever, always, unending future. 

John 3:16 gives a vivid picture of this love!

16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. AMP

He who has the Son has life! 1 John  5:11-12:

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.KJV

It is very exciting to me to know that I am loved, no matter what! Jesus loved us enough to die for us, and now He loves us enough to be interceding for us at this very moment (Romans 8:34)! When we understand how very much He loves us, then we can begin to love others with that same love! A love that never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8) and a love that never quits!
